Can our dreams predict the future?

Can our dreams predict the future?

From Shauna
YOUR GREAT I LISTEN ALL THE TIME (kiss 957) . is it normal to dream things and then have them become reality? is it intuition? it happens a lot to me.

Thank you Shauna....

Okay it has all happened to us, right?

We are mid-stream into a conversation and without warning, the person we are talking to, seems to be uttering a familiar tune! Their lips slow down to a familiar sounds or phrase, that we swear, we have heard before. But, this moment is felt even deeper than just a recalled memory. We feel we have lived this moment! We are temporarily stunned. We think, how could this brief encounter hold so much meaning? They were just a few words uttered in a passing conversation.

We know this to be déjà vu. But what is this. A small slice of a conversation yes, but a moment that feels more personal.

I want you to think about the concept that you have not lived that moment but that you are actually recalling a dream you had!

Okay okay sounds impossible right?

But first, you have to admit it. You have experienced it.  But like most people, you reason it away or ignore it and ground yourself back into the moment. and forget about it.

Well, instead of thinking you lived this moment before, did you ever think of the possibility that you had a dream of that moment.  Then why do we only get stimulated when a few words are spoken? Why so fragmented? Well we tend to remember our dreams in fragments....right? So. it stands to reason we would recall them in our waking hours this way! So ,  yes. it is very possible that you might have just received a glimpse of the future. It is food for thought.

This concept had been around for a long time. For you science junkies out there , let me back this up with a little scientific history......

Émile Boirac was a French parapsychologist and first coined the phrase in 1876 in a letter that appeared in "Review Philosophique." He described the term "metagnomy" or better known as clairvoyance. Simply defined as the ability to see beyond present time. Borirac also was know to conduct experiments on an Italian medium Eusapia Palladino. He held experiments in hypnotic phenomena such as the induction of sleep and how our senses can be transported beyond present time!

Pretty cool! SO this thought that a déjà vu could be a glimpse of the future is pretty exciting. Imagine if you were able to write down your dreams, be more active or lucid in them. Even native American Indians as well as many other cultures, would use dreams to gain direction about their future. They would even use dreams to get advice on how gain protection about their culture and village by interpreting their dreams. We are so grounded in what the physical would tells us we have forgotten to trust our natural psychic intuition engine. OUR DREAMS......

Many psychics and mediums have these thoughts and beliefs because many tend to be grounded not in the physical but sometimes in the world of dream. Some seems to be loopy and distance. Almost disconnected to the physical world. If we want to survive, and psychic mediums,  we need to work on grounding ourselves into the physical world so we do not seem too out of step with society. Being judged by thinking out of the box. This very fact , could easily anyone  away from the concept that they too can see or feel the future through dreams.

I mean who would want to be judged for thinking they can see the future or even that you can still be connected to your loved ones on the otherside. Personally, judgement is a huge lesson for me in this lifetime. I have recently come to the conclusion that speaking your truth about what you receive, with a loving intention, is worth the risk of judgement  It can bring you to a deeper understanding of your path and confirmation of who is really on your side in this lifetime.

Try to write your dreams down and see if you have the ability to remember your dreams and connect them to future events! Good luck and let me know what you find! See if they give a glimpse of your path.

"I think we dream so we don't have to be apart so long. If we're in each other's dreams, we can be together all the time." Calvin and Hobbes

"So  I am packing your things. There is no hurry, so I will  be careful how I pack, as not to miss anything that belongs to you."  My mom said with a sweet  and very calm expression on her face.

She was standing in my childhood basement from at least 30 years ago.. She looked so beautiful and healthy. She was grabbing a current sweater I own and bought last week. Strange because she was placing it in a duffle bag from my  soccer days when I was in 9th grade.

"But I need to leave now. "  I said out of breath and panicking. " I have so much to do mom and no time to pack."  I could feel my heart beating  through my chest. Then my heartbeat slowed as I watched my Mom do the impossible......Taking me back to my childhood but mixing in the present.

"Gelina." My mom said. "Sometimes it is not how your pack your things when you move but how you move while you pack your things. Be calm. We will get this done together."

Gelina?  Wow, I thought. I have not heard you call me that in a long time.

" I forgot that you would always say my name like that."  I said to my Mom.

My mom smiled knowingly and very softly.

"Wait." I said "How is it that you are here. Cancer took you....."

Then for what felt like a blink of an eye, my mind raced with many thoughts.

Mom you died....

But this feels real.....

How could you be here.....

Wait do not go , let me hug you.......

Then I woke up. I was dreaming!  But It was so real.

I tried to close my eyes. At first very tightly, almost as it this could evoke the crystal clear image of  my sweet mom.again...

Auuggghh!!! Nothing!

I sat up in bed  wanting to hit myself! I had practiced in the past to become more lucid during my dream visits from my Mom. But last night's slumber was a much needed one.  A very deep sleep due to stress. So I had not anticipated or expected a visit from my mom. But after much more thought, I realized that I have been asking for her help. My life, has been in much transition.  During many of my personal, deep moments of alone time, I have asked for her supportive touch from the otherside. I am sure she has sent it to me during the day, in the way of signs but because I my roller coaster, ying yang, emotional  ball of change that I am in , I am sure that I have missed her supportive signs....So as a last attempt, I think Mom paid me a visit while I was not distracted by the physical world.

Just last week a sibling told me of a special dream she had of Mom. Waking her up for school. Not an easy task as I remember. But in this dream , my sibling said it came easy as she too was asking for Mom's   help.

SO todays question is . How many times have you had a dream visit. Do you need to understand this more. What is the sure sign that it is real.

1) You remember every detail. Words, sentences, thoughts and images.

2) You were in a very deep sleep

3) You have been asking for help or the dream helps you in an unexpected way.

Please write down your dream and see if parts of the dream are confirmed in your everyday life. After a dream visit take a moment to daydream a sentence or feeling back to your loved one.

Do you have an awesome dream visit or one that needs to be interpreted. Post to it here or facebook me!  I will do my best to help!

Thank you!

One of the biggest lessons my Mom instilled in me before she crossed over from cancer, was giving back to those in need. My mom was a very soft spoken and loving woman. She always had a unique way of dealing with loss. One such example was when I bought a new pair of boots and someone stole them. I was so livid and upset about it.

When I spoke to my mom about it, she looked at me with her expressive big brown eyes and said  "How many pairs of boots do you own?"

I counted in my head and replied  " I own about 5 pairs of boots."

My mom smiled and said "Well, I know it might seem like a great loss to you and it is  terrible that someone stole from you but, did you ever think what drove that person to steal?"

I said "No mom, that thought never crossed my mind."

My mom replied, with a gentle smile "Maybe that person needed the boots more than you."

She felt that there was a gift in every difficult lesson. At that moment, I felt that I had enough and maybe someone else had something they needed.

When my mom told me that her breast cancer had returned, I felt I was not strong enough to see her suffer again. Watching my mom fight cancer,  taught me about strength and being there for others. It made me appreciate that when my mom saw someone in need, she always had a call to action. That example helped me ...help her.  Even though she lost her battle with cancer, the gift in that lesson that I hold to me so close is that  I have taken on her call to action. So charity and making people aware of who need helps, is a very strong passion of mine.

I know that there are many charities that are hurting now because of the economy but here are a few that have a call to action. I have also had the honor of meeting them and know that they are dedicated and selfless in their desire to help. The charities below  are all 501c3 not for profits.

Lazicki's Bird House & Rescue, Inc.
Diane & Steve Lazicki are champions in educating the public and saving exotic birds. They offer  refuge and a place for birds to live out their lives when birds are abandoned, abused or when circumstances arise when birds owners cannot care for them.

They have sacrificed alot to keep their 501c3 going. I had a chance to visit the
Rescue and all you see are their efforts in saving this special birds. Without going into
detail they are in desperate need of donations. Due to a fire in their home in Connecticut they
had to move the shelter to  Rhode Island.
